1. First thing is first, be a foot soldier
Simply get yourself out into the city. If you are staying in a hotel within the city many of them hold leaflet stalls in the reception – this is a good place to grab a few and whatever grabs your attention, have a quick read then get yourself there.
2. Enjoy the Nightlife
Bangkok’s nightlife will cater to any gender, any age and any preference of night type. There are british pubs where you can get a taste of home, the red light district, cabaret shows, theatre’s, restaurants offering several cuisine’s, gay bars, cafe’s, jazz bars and the list continues.
3. Visit a few of the temples
The city is jam-packed full of temples, the main which springs to mind is the Royal Palace.
4. The Local Streetfood
The smell is amazing, there is street vendors placed on most roads – even if you do not want to taste the food, the smell is just as good, but the food taste’s amazing and should not be missed when in Bangkok.
5. Chinatown
Every city has their own Chinatown – it is interesting to see how each one is similar yet different.
6 – Chatuchak Market
This market is really never ending. If you make the wrong turn you can spend the whole day trying to find you way back, witnessing things from pet shops to food stalls.
7 – Shopping Malls
Many of the malls are full of great stuff, both cheap and expensive. One shopping mall contains almost everything. From stalls, to stores, banks, restaurants, multiplex movie theatres, enormous aquariums and fitness gyms – the malls are rivals to other similar malls throughout the world such as in Dubai and America.
8 – Sightseeing Tour
It may sound like a touristy thing to do but there is ultimately no other way for you to see the city in its entirety and get a running commentary throughout.
9 – Mahboonkrong and Siam Square
It is an extremely large shopping mall. At eight stories high, the center contains around 2,000 shops, restaurants and service outlets, including the 4-story Tokyu department store.
10 – Khao San Road
Khao San road is a long road that is full packed of stores and restaurants – a must see street when in Bangkok.
